Concerning Updates that Fail to Exist

Well, that thing known as Real Life™ has hit me with something hard and forceful. In other words, I may or may not be able to get comics up for the next couple days. I have a bit of homework today and tommorow, and Wednesday through Saturday I shall be in Southern California. I'll try to line up some shorts or something, but I can't promise anything.
And, by the way, my team won the robotics competition.

No Updates for a While

Once again, I have a US FIRST Robotics Competition to go to. This one is at San Jose State University, so I come home each night. However, it lasts so long that it's doubtful that I'll be able to update for a few days. Therefore, I will not probably not update for a few days.
And no, I don't care that I just repeated myself.

No Updates Until Keenspace Fixes Itself

Keenspace has broken itself again, it seems. While this usually isn't a problem, part of the system is so broken that updating the comic would totally screw up the site. I will therefore not update until it is fixed. This should be soon, but it might not be. Sorry.
Update: CRAP! The site broke itself already! Damn!
Update2: Okay, it fixed itself. Good.

On Random Arachnids

Whilst scanning today's comic, I noticed that the last frame had what looked like a spider made by air bubbles in the paper. "How odd," I thought to myself. "I should tell everyone else about this, so that they see it too." And the result is this post.

I will not post a comic today. Certain obligations prevent me from doing so. Expect one tommorow, though.

A Gag from Today's Comic

Firstly, I'd like to note that I'm sorry about not getting yesterday's comic up, and that I have put it and another up as apology.
Secondly, I'd like to apologize for the weirdness of the site. My hosting provider, KeenSpace, is having some bizzare site problems at the moment. This seems to render certain comic pages inaccessible, but the dropdown will let you get at them. It's just annoying, is all. Also, at the time you read this, today's comic may not yet be up. I apologize if that is the case, but there's not much I can really do.

Anyways, it may occur to you, while reading today's strip, to wonder the following:
"What the HELL is up with the chicken?"
Well, I'll tell you. It's sorta based on reality.
See, to make a long story short, someone brought a rubber chicken to school today and Sam stole it for a while. He the proceeded to put it in his pants and hit people with it, not necessarily in that order. As he hit people with it, he would cry out, "I'm cockslapping you!" Then I might say something like, "Sam, I don't want to touch your cock!"
Double meanings are funny.

Anyways, here's a photo of Sam with the rubber chicken in his pants. You can click it to enlarge it, but I don't see why you'd want to do that. And yes, that is The Real Sam™.

Lateness

There is a high chance that I will not finish today's comic until tommorow.

Website Design

It occurs to me (again) that I need to redesign the main comic page site thing. Unfortunately, doing so is a pain in the ass. Since I am lazy, this causes problems.
I do want to change it, though. At some point, I imagine that I'll give in and start on it. The question is merely when.
When I do actually begin working may not be for a while, but I will add some additional pages when I do. For example, I'll add a Links page, a Characters page, and a page that links to all the comics.
In the meantime, however, don't expect too much change. I am, as stated before, really lazy.

Cameos!

Today marks the first (and possibly last) cameo we've had in someone else's comic! Said cameo can be found here. Eli appears towards the top-left of the image. I would like to thank Erin, the owner of said comic.
As an interesting side-note, Eli seems to be holding the hand of some female. As it turns out, she too is cameo-ing (methinks a verb for cameo is needed), and is the starring character in Ugly Girl. I think, anyway. I could be wrong. I sure tend to be.
Either way, awesome.

Page Tearing - Whoops!

After reading today's comic, you might wonder why there's bite marks out of the page. "Where the hell did he get that idea?" you might wonder. "What was he smoking?"
Well, as it turns out, I got the idea when I accidentally ripped off part of a page. That's when I decided to make Avi eat everything. The second page-bite-mark is there because, well, I accidentally ripped that one too.
In conclusion, since I won't be able to use that sort of solution in future comics, I'm going to need to be more careful with the panels. Oh dear.

Well, Crap

Today's comic won't go up until tommorow at the absolute earliest. Why? Two reasons. The first is that my computer has decided to pretty much die today (I'm posting this from my mom's computer). The second is that my internet has decided to go the way of my computer, and is exceedingly painful to deal with. I'll try to get the comic up soon, but I can't promise anything.

On Lateness

I drew a comic for today, but it won't be up until I get home and am able to scan it. Since I have somewhere I need to be, that might not be for a couple hours. I will, however, try to make sure I get it up sometime today.

No Stealing

Keenspace has a bandwidth-leecher blocking system in place. It redirects leechers to a file called nosteal.jpg, which defaults to 1x1 white image. This is then scaled as needed by the browser. You can, however, change the nosteal image. I have, therefore, done so, and here is the result.
In the event that you're getting the nosteal image but shouldn't be, you're probably running something that messes with your HTTP headers. Modify your program to allow normal referrer headers through, or at least when browsing the site, and the problem will be fixed.

The Anti-Reality of Today's Comic

Unlike some of the past strips, today's comic is completely fiction. It is in no way based on reality. In other words, I am male.
I'm not yet sure if I'm going to continue this strip. I might, but I'd need to figure out what to do with it. That's hard. Instead, I think I'll do something else, as I already have another idea. I just wish I could remember the part where it got funny.

Endless Updates of Doom

Okay, I took photos of the balloon and posted them and all, but there's one major problem barring you from seeing them.
There's an Ungodly Line of Other People Who Want to Update Before I Do, All of Whom Are Before Me in the Line.
That is, there are something like six thousand people who will get their sites updated before my turn comes up. That'll take a couple hours.
In other words, crap. This update might not be up today.

I'm Lazy - Deal With It

I have in my room what shall be forever known as The Coolest Balloon Ever™. If I can locate my digital camera, I'll picturitize it and put it on the site.
Sadly, I'm too lazy to find my camera. But if I do, up the pictures'll go.

Future Plans

Oh, by the way. One thing I have planned for the site at some point is a "Characters" page. This will describe all the real-life characters in the comic (Sam, Eli, Shira, Rachel, Shahar, Avi, Ryan) and possibly give a side-by-side comparison of the drawn version and the real version. Don't expect it for a while, though, as it's somewhat far down my list of "THINGS THAT MUST BE DOWN NOW".

The Dropdown

You may have noticed the dropdown towards the bottom of the comic pages. Well, you may now notice that its contents have changed. That's because I discovered some useful new features of the system that makes it and have decided to utilize them. Now it won't be as needlessly big, methinks.

The Weekend

I don't know if any of you have heard of the US FIRST Robotics Competition, but now you have. I'm on a team that competes in said competition, and we have a Regional Competition to go to. I will therefore be away from Thursday until sometime Saturday. In response, I have drawn up a few little quickie comics for Thursday and Friday. These will appear on the site sometime between 11AM and noon on the proper days. I do not promise anything for Saturday or Sunday, though.

I have most of a comic for today drawn, but I'm really lazy, so I might not finish it. If that's the case, it'll be up tommorow.
